Terra Mia Wedding in Paso Robles, CA

When you hear “wine country” you typically think Napa Valley. But to be quite honest I’d say that Paso Robles should be in that same conversation as much as Napa. Rolling hills, check! Warm weather pretty much all year ‘round, check! And some of the best wines that California has to offer; triple, double, quadruple check! (I’m sure there’s some sort of grammatical error in that last sentence).

Anytime I get to photograph anything in Paso Robles or the surrounding areas, I always get super excited because there’s something about rolling hills and sunsets that just go hand-in-hand. With all that being said, Terra Mia did not disappoint, even in the month of October, which is when this wedding happened. I mean c’mon the water fall and the pond?! All that space for your wedding guest to roam around and enjoy. This venue can easily host up to 175 guests! The amenities list for this venue goes on and on and on. Speaking of a wedding venue is amazing amenities, check out this wedding in Carmel.

Besides the actual venue amenities, Paso Robles has so much to offer if you have wedding guest coming in from out of town. They have a vibrant downtown thats growing and is filled with so many amazing restaurants and small businesses for you and your wedding guests to explore. And not to mention, there’s wine tasting GALORE in this area, you can not go wrong. And if you’re up for a quick drive to the coast, there’s the beautiful beach town of Morro Bay, which would make for the perfect day trip during your stay here.

On to the actual wedding that I photographed here. K + G have to be one of the most down to earth, rad-est (not sure if I spelled that correctly) New Yorkers that I know. When I got the initial email from Graham, we jumped on a Zoom call and I found that he has a background in photography/videography and to be quite honest, that was nerve wrecking! But he loved my work and thought I’d be a great fit for their wedding day. Photographing a fellow photographers wedding is something else. Any wedding I photographed always has a sense of pressure and anxiety around it, and to add the layer of photographing for someone who is in the same field as I am and knows the technicality of what I do, super extra nerve wrecking. Anyways, on to the photos!
