Tehama Wedding in Carmel, CA

First off, let me just say that this wedding was in the MIDDLE of FEBRUARY! MIDDLE! That’s California in a nutshell for you. Truly great weather all year around. Let me be trendy and say “this is your sign to get married in California” (cringe-y). But really, you can’t go wrong with getting married anywhere in this state. The skyrocketing real estate has some sort of justification… HAHA!

Okay, so Tehama Golf Course has THEE craziest 360 degree view of the whole County. In one direction you can see Monterey and in the other direct is just beautiful rolling hills that seem to go on forever. On a sunny day, this is exactly where you would want to have your wedding at. The venue is really at the top of the hill and having your guests see the water as a backdrop to your ceremony is just out of this world! During sunset, all the instagram selfies were being taken everywhere. It really is hard to take a bad picture in this venue. As a photographer there so many little nooks and crannies to photograph. Who knew a golf course could be so photogenic!

Couples have the option to stay in the rooms that are onsite. And I say rooms sparingly, they are spacious and have outdoor patios that are literally just feet away from the ceremony space and reception area. So after a long day and a hard night of partying, couple’s just walk a couple feet and turn in. How convenient is that?! No need to catch a ride or shuttle to your hotel or airbnb, it’s all right here. Trust me, you’re going to love the convenience.

This couple also hired a live band. Yes, a LIVE band. Which is not unheard of, but is definitely not very common. And they ROCKED it. They played everything from each decade, which coincidently is an homage to their name : The Decades. And their slogan: “We play everything from Chuck Berry to Katy Perry” had me chuckling, I must admit. And if there are any fans of alt-rock in the 00s reading this blog; they played “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. So I stop taking photos for a bit and sang along in nostalgia.
