An Engagement Session Among the Big Sur Redwoods - Carmel Wedding Photographer

I love it when an out of town couple comes to big sur and requests for a redwood setting. I feel like such a salesperson when I think, “Well, you’ve come to the right place!”. And quite honestly, it’s true. The redwoods here just feel so majestic and otherworldly. They literally are living giants in this area and should be treated accordingly so.

Personally, I like photographing in the redwoods just a couple hours before sunset because it tends to get darker much faster with all the shade that the trees cast. But that also tends to open up the opportunity to head to another location afterwards since there’s still great light out and that’s exactly what we did with this engagement session.
