As big and as magnificent a The Barns is you would definitely miss this venue if you didn’t know exactly what to look out for. It’s somewhat in a hidden garden in a very popular, high foot traffic area of downtown Monterey.

The completely open floor plan with rustic barns as the backdrop is definitely the selling point of this venue. It’s perfect for large weddings and it’s great for more intimate guest counts. And it’s located in the heart of Monterey, so if you wanted to have an after party at one of the bars on Alvarado street, it’s totally possible!

The staff here is also amazing! I think every time I’ve photographed a wedding here, the venue, florals, decorations, reception tables, etc, has always been ready to go and ready to be photographed before I even get there. For a photographer, that is so helpful because I can get all of my details photos before I get into the climax of the wedding day.

For couples that want that rustic themed venue, without having to travel hours outside of a city (I’m not joking when I say its in the heart of downtown) The Barns at Cooper Molera should be very very high on your list!
