A Santa Barbara Wedding - From El Presidio to Modern Times Beer

If I were to dump all these photos and not explain what was going on, I’d be a horrible blog author and a careless photographer (which I’m not totally not, btw). The El Presidio State Historic Park and Modern Times Beer in the same exact sentence sounds a little farfetched and you may be wonder how exactly this wedding day played out.

SANTA BARBARA WEDDING

Well, they all gathered in the Presidio. They fit about 100 people in this historic building and had their ceremony inside. So far so good? Are you keeping up with me?

Okay, so after they said their “I Do’s”, kissed, and walked down the aisle; we all gathered outside and formed sort of like a parade line.

Then everyone walked from the Presidio to Modern Times Beer on State Street. Which, if you didn’t know, is a popular strip of shops, restaurants, and bars; but even more interesting, post-Covid became a walking promenade.

So now every single wedding guest is walking right in the middle of state street as passer-by’s and outside patio restaurant guests are both cheering us on and perplexed as to what this large crowd of people are doing. Someone even busted out their instax camera and took a snap. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the photos!

And now our final destination: Modern Times Beer “Academy of Recreational Sciences” as they have dubbed themselves. Hip decor, popular beer, and the beautiful Santa Barbara July weather. What else could you want for your wedding day?

That’s a lot of typing for me, scroll down for what you actually came for.
