Santa Barbara Engagement - Mission Rose Garden, Courthouse, & Arroyo Burro Beach

Don’t get me wrong, I love “planning” a whole photography session for a couple. Especially when they love my approach and style, but have no clue where to go or what time to do it at. However, there are those rare instances where a couple comes to me and has a whole itinerary in mind already and all I have to do is focus on the creativity and camera stuff. Those types of sessions are few and far between but I love it when it happens.

MISSION PARK & ROSE GARDEN

So we started at the Mission Park & Rose Garden and it was my first time there. Even though it was a gloomy morning, the flowers were in full bloom. This really complimented the couple’s traditional attire.

SANTA BARBARA COURTHOUSE

Then we jumped in our cars and took the short drive down to the Santa Barbara Courthouse. The couple did an outfit change into a more formal look. Since it was early morning we basically had the whole place to ourselves with the exception of a few morning runners. We took advantage of the emptiness and hit all the picturesque spots.

ARROYO BURRO BEACH

The couple were originally from Texas and mentioned that they had family that never seen cliffs near the water, so Arroyo Burro Beach was the perfect spot to show off the unique Californian coast. Not to mention that this couple had another outfit change into more casual wear that matched that “Californian” look.
