an elegant San Francisco wedding - Monterey Photographer

Like many 2020 couples, C&D had to push their wedding date to 2021. I’m so glad our new reschedule date aligned perfectly. I love heading out to the Bay Area to photograph weddings; it’s a great way for me to get a change of scenery and stay on my toes creatively.

The started at Hotel Kabuki which had THE coolest hotel lobby I’ve seen in a while. As I was passing through, I was thinking, “How cool would it be to get some portraits in here?!” And what do you know, unbeknownst to me that’s exactly what C&D already had planned! AHHHH! I love me some architecture incorporated into a wedding day.

Next, we headed over to the church where the ceremony was going to happen. Typically churches have really difficult lighting situations, however, St. Cecelia Catholic Church had some really cool cinematic lighting. After the ceremony, the family pictures, and wedding party pictures, we had a couple minutes (literally) to get a few shots, which were some of my favorite from the day!

To end of the day with the reception we headed over to the beautiful Marin Art and Garden Center. This was my first time at this location and with all the botanicals, all the ideas came rushing to my head and I tried my best to incorporate every beautiful flower and plant that I saw.

Anyways, on to the photos!
